Stepping Stones Summer Club

Summer Club is open and spaces are filling up quickly. Based in St Colum’s Primary School we offer fun professional care for your children during the summer holidays. We are open from 8am-6pm, with 2 sessions per day (8am-1pm and 1pm-6pm).  Please contact Christina or Leanne for registration forms, availability, policies and prices.

Useful information for Summer Club Families

We have put together weekly activities for the children. There are a number of items we would like your child to bring with them to carry out different activities throughout the summer. The list is as follows:

  • Plain shirt (preferably white, to draw their own design on) week 1
  • Teddy bear (for picnic) week 1
  • Favourite toy (for show and tell) week 1
  • Socks (to make sock puppets) week 2
  • Empty plastic bottle (bubble snakes) week 2
  • Old sock (bubble snakes) week 2
  • Dress up clothes week 4
  • Shoe box (Lego heads) week 5
  • Empty Jar week 6
  • Sun cream and sun hat are needed every day for each child.
  • Change of clothes x 2 is essential as we have planned a lot of activities allowing the children to get messy! (Especially in week 2).

Children can bring toys from home, however, please ensure you know what toy they are bringing (label if possible) and that you have given them permission to bring this in. We cannot take responsibility for broken or lost toys. Please remember your child needs to bring a packed lunch with them for lunch time, ensuring there are no nuts included in their food. We provide a breakfast from 9.30am-10am and a healthy snack at 3pm.  All children booked in for the morning or afternoon sessions must notify staff if they are going to be late as we may be out and about. Summer Club staff can be contacted on: 07377782087 and you may need to drop your child to our location.

Trip to Rosepark Farm

On Friday 9th August, we have planned a trip to Rosepark Farm, Ballymoney. We will be leaving at 9am sharp by bus (Causeway Coach Hire) and plan to return St. Colum’s Primary School for 2pm. If your child is not normally in on this day, you are more than welcome to swap their session or book them in extra for this trip (space dependent as we have a maximum number of children we can take).

Could all parents who have only booked their child in for the morning session please pick their child up at 2pm. Children will not be offered breakfast on this morning so can you please ensure that your child has breakfast before they come to Stepping Stones.  On the bus to Rosepark your child will be offered cereal bars/fruit. Children will need to bring a healthy packed lunch with them, please ensure that there are no nuts included in this. Please ensure your child wears appropriate footwear and clothing (i.e. trainers and raincoat) and if needed sun cream and a sun hat. Please contact Christina or Leanne for further information.
